Dishwasher Repair in Abu Dhabi
A dishwasher that won't drain, won't latch, or leaves dishes dirty needs more than a guess. One Click Technicians repairs built-in, freestanding, and commercial dishwashers and glasswashers across Abu Dhabi, with same-day appointments and a fixed price confirmed before any work starts.

What's Actually Included When You Book
A technician diagnoses the actual fault on-site before quoting a price — a dishwasher "not cleaning properly" could be a clogged spray arm, a worn pump, or just the wrong detergent, and each has a very different cost. Common parts — door latches, seals, spray arms, drain pumps — are carried on the van. Every repair comes with a 90-day workmanship warranty.
What's Actually Wrong With Your Dishwasher?
Dishwasher faults fall into a handful of patterns. Here's what we actually find, and roughly what each one costs.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| Not draining / water pooling at the bottom | Almost always a blocked filter or sump clogged with food debris — a quick clean, not a part replacement. Less often, a blocked drain hose or a failed drain pump. Note: a shallow layer of water (roughly a centimetre) sitting in the sump area is normal on most models, there to keep the pump primed — it's a fault only once it's deep enough to reach the bottom of the racks or dishes. | AED 150 – 350 |
| Water leaking underneath | A worn door seal or gasket is the usual cause. Also worth checking: a cracked spray arm or a loose hose connection at the back of the unit. | AED 150 – 350 |
| Won't start / door won't latch | The door latch mechanism has worn or gone out of alignment — dishwashers won't run if the door isn't detected as fully locked, as a safety measure. Less often, a control board fault. | AED 150 – 350 |
| Not cleaning dishes properly | Usually clogged spray arm nozzles from food debris blocking the jets, or a worn wash pump impeller. Worth checking your detergent isn't expired or the wrong type before assuming a mechanical fault. | AED 150 – 350 |
| Control board / display not responding | A genuine PCB or control board fault — the display is dead, buttons don't respond, or the cycle behaves erratically. | AED 300 – 700 |
| Soap or rinse-aid dispenser won't open | A broken or stuck dispenser latch mechanism — detergent tablets are left unused at the end of the cycle because the door never released them. | AED 100 – 250 |
| Rack rusting or rollers broken | The protective coating on the rack has worn through over years of use, exposing metal to rust. Rollers and wheels crack with age too — both are usually replaceable without buying a whole new rack. | AED 100 – 250 |
| Dishes come out wet or cold | A failed heating element or thermostat — the wash cycle completes, but without proper heat, drying performance drops off noticeably. | AED 200 – 450 |

Is Water at the Bottom Actually a Fault?
Not always. Most dishwashers are designed to hold a shallow layer of water, roughly a centimetre, in the sump area at the bottom at all times — it's there to keep the drain pump primed and the seal underneath from drying out between cycles, not a sign anything's wrong. What is a genuine fault: water deep enough to reach the bottom rack or touch dishes, water that's visibly increased since the last cycle, or a smell developing alongside it. If it's the shallow, unchanging kind, that's normal; if it's rising or reaching the dishes, book a filter and sump check.
Bosch & Siemens Dishwasher Repair
Bosch and Siemens are the two most common dishwasher brands we get called about in Abu Dhabi, and for good reason — they share the same parent company (BSH Group) and much of the same internal engineering, so they fail in near-identical ways.
Both brands use a clear on-screen error code system rather than leaving you guessing. Reading the code before you call genuinely speeds up diagnosis — here's what the most common ones actually mean.

Water detected in the base pan (Aquastop triggered) — the machine stops as a safety measure. Sometimes a genuine leak, sometimes a false trigger from condensation, but always worth inspecting.
Drain fault — usually a blocked filter or drain hose, the same root cause as a generic "not draining" fault.
Heating fault — a failed heating element or thermal fuse.
Filter or sump blocked with debris, restricting water flow.
Drain pump obstruction — something is physically blocking the pump.
Not seeing your code here? WhatsApp us with it anyway — Bosch and Siemens use a range of codes across different model generations, and we can talk you through what it likely means.
Dishwasher Repair Cost in Abu Dhabi
Most residential repairs fall between AED 100 and AED 450. Control board work and commercial equipment run higher. What moves the price:
What actually failed
A blocked filter is a 20-minute clean. A control board is the most expensive single part on a dishwasher, and the price reflects that gap.
Built-in access
A built-in dishwasher set into cabinetry takes longer to access than a freestanding unit — panels need to come off carefully first.
Residential vs. commercial
Commercial dishwashers and glasswashers run higher-pressure systems and faster cycles — parts and diagnostic time both cost more than residential equivalents.
You'll always see the price before we start
A technician diagnoses the actual fault on-site and gives you a fixed number before any work begins.
* Prices are in AED and are typical ranges for residential dishwashers in Abu Dhabi, inclusive of VAT where applicable. Commercial equipment is quoted separately after inspection. Your exact price is confirmed on-site after diagnosis.

Commercial Dishwashers & Glasswashers
Restaurants, cafes, hotels, and bars run dishwashing and glasswashing equipment through far more cycles daily than a home unit ever does — and a failure has real operational and hygiene-compliance implications, not just inconvenience.
We service Hobart, Winterhalter, Comenda, Meiko, Classeq, and Eswood commercial dishwashers and glasswashers. Glasswashers specifically depend on properly functioning detergent and rinse-aid dosing pumps — a common fault point worth checking first if glasses are coming out streaky or spotted rather than genuinely dirty.
Dishwasher Cleaning & Deep Clean Service
Not every dishwasher call is a repair. A machine that's running but smells off, leaves a film on glasses, or just isn't cleaning as well as it used to often needs a proper deep clean rather than a part replaced — and it's genuinely worthwhile as regular maintenance, not just a fix for a problem you've already noticed.
A deep clean roughly every 6 months, alongside normal use, is a genuine way to reduce how often you need an actual repair call — the same logic as descaling a coffee machine or cleaning a washing machine's drum.
Other Brands We Repair
LG
Common in mid-to-premium residential kitchens. Control board and door latch faults are the most frequent calls.
Samsung
Widely used across Abu Dhabi apartments and villas. Spray arm clogging and drain faults are the usual issues.
Electrolux
Reliable mid-range brand — heating element and thermostat faults are the most common repair.
Also serviced: Beko, Hisense, AEG, Neff, Midea, Ariston, Zanussi, Whirlpool, Miele, Indesit, Fagor, Hoover, Blomberg, Daewoo, Baumatic, CDA, Gaggenau, Candy, Haier, and Fisher & Paykel dishwashers. Call to confirm if your brand isn't listed.
Does the Type of Dishwasher Change the Repair?
Built-in / integrated
The most common setup in Abu Dhabi kitchens. Access means removing cabinetry panels first, adding labour time versus a freestanding unit.
Freestanding
Faster and generally cheaper to access for a repair, since there's no surrounding cabinetry to work around.
Slimline / compact
Common in smaller apartments. Internally similar to full-size units, just in a smaller footprint — the same fault patterns apply.
Commercial glasswasher / dishwasher
Faster cycles, higher wash pressure, and chemical dosing pumps that residential units don't have — a genuinely different repair category, covered above.
Why Dishwashers Fail Faster in Abu Dhabi
- Rooftop water storage tanks
- The same sediment issue that clogs washing machine inlet valves affects dishwasher spray arm nozzles and filters — fine sediment from tank storage builds up in these narrow passages faster than most people expect.
- Voltage fluctuations
- Grid voltage fluctuations during peak demand periods put extra stress on control boards — a genuine contributor to the PCB faults we diagnose.
- Kitchen heat on door seals
- A kitchen that runs hot, especially in summer, accelerates wear on rubber door seals — the same pattern we see on oven and washing machine seals.
- Heavy household usage
- Larger households and homes with domestic staff often run the dishwasher multiple times a day, well above the duty cycle a mid-range residential unit is designed around — the main driver of early rack, latch, and pump wear.
Repair or Replace?
A well-maintained built-in dishwasher typically lasts 8–12 years. Latch, seal, and pump repairs are almost always worth doing regardless of age. A control board replacement on a unit past year 8–10 is where the maths starts to favour a new one.
Usually worth repairing
A door latch, seal, or drain pump fault on a dishwasher of any age. Built-in units run AED 800–2,000+ new, so these repairs are a small fraction of replacement cost.
Worth considering replacement
A control board replacement quoted at AED 600–700 on a unit already 8-10 years old. At that point you're paying a large share of a new dishwasher's price to extend an aging one.
